We were recently a part of a New York Post article about our area! Click here to see the article: Influencers have turned this low-key island into summer’s hottest destination — and locals are pissed.

A number of our homes were featured in the article, as it discusses the new “coastal grandmother” aesthetic that some our properties have! We are super excited for more people to see what New England Vacation Rentals has on offer.

Minding Your Business – Published Cape Cod Chronicle Spring 2014

Minding your business runs weekly in The Cape Cod Chronicle and profiles businesses that advertise with us.These civic-minded individuals make it possible to keep you informed about the goings on in our area. We urge you to support the merchants pictured above – who also shop and work locally. The Cape Cod Chronicle is your hometown independent weekly newspaper.

“One company, one phone number, two locations and 130 rental properties,” smiled Joanne Logie. “And two ‘hospital- ity specialists,’” added Logie’s managing partner Sonnie Hall. Hall and Logie’s objective is to streamline the entire process of finding and then renting your vacation home in “the Northeast from Cape Cod to Maine.”
“I think that’s what sets us apart, we are not just rental agents, and we truly are specialists in hospitality. We only do rentals; we don’t sell real estate (though we can refer). We promote the towns of Chatham and Harwich as much as their chambers do, we have a concierge service (you want it, we can provide it) and we’ve made it all paperless. ”

Logie and Hall are not only clear on providing what you want, they’ve made it easy. “We are passionate about what we do,” said Hall. “We have countless success stories of happy vacationers.” Logie started the company and brought Hall on last year. “We always wanted to work together. I never met anyone with a vision so complimentary to mine.”

The co-owners are equally in sync with their clients. “Between us we have over 35 years in the rental business,” said Logie, valuable experience that benefits their clients. “We had to change with the times,” explained Logie. “People rent homes now like they used to book hotels.” Their rental process is easy. “It’s a real time system,” they explained. “It’s a great reservation system. Everything for the most part is paperless and comes through your email or the mobile app. When you book with NEVR you get a confirmation with the terms and conditions, and the rental is im- mediately reserved. When the transaction is complete, both the renter and the owner get emails,” explained Hall. “That’s when the mobile app steps in again. Registered guests get a code for directions and ar- rival details. Then you can continue to use the app through your smart phone to address any upcoming issues: concierge requests, maintenance, any questions, etc. You get an immediate response. It’s all about ‘follow up and follow through.’”

Another goal of the NEVR mobile app is to give the renter the option of “living like a local,” said Hall. The app has a multitude of local businesses listed with all the info you need.

Modern times have brought many other challenges to the rental industry. People expect amenities. “We take our guests and owner’s feedback very seriously and are constantly expanding our services and amenities. We now have many pet friendly homes, summer Cape Cod homes with a/c and Internet, ski homes with recreation rooms and fireplaces. All of our homes are professionally cleaned and maintained too.

“Staging is another proponent to a NEVR Cape Cod home,” said Logie. “When folks open the door to their Cape Cod vacation
home they immediately think ‘Wow! This is Cape Cod coastal style living!’” “Defined as casual coastal décor with modern amenities,” added Hall. “We work closely with the owners to insure this.”

You would think they’d have no time for anything else but work. “We are heavily involved in community activities. I founded the Harwich 5K, and Sonnie is helping with the Ms. Eelgrass event this year.” Hall has a special interest in Chatham’s cultural events. “My Mom was the first woman in the Chatham Town Band and is now an artist. So anything promoting the arts is important to me.” Just as important as your vacation is to both of them.
