Inside Orleans, MA vacation rentals

Decorated in classic New England style with casual elegance you will find in our Orleans, MA vacation rentals is a trait to be admired. The kitchen is the heart of the home and features upgraded appliances, granite countertops, and custom cabinetry, inviting you to spend time creating gourmet meals, much to your family’s pleasure.

The living areas are filled with practical coastal style and comfortable couches, sturdy coffee tables that are perfect for putting together puzzles, and a large flat-screened television movie nights are more fun with state of the art electronics, don’t you think?

In the bedrooms of the Orleans rentals, minimalistic décor allows for tranquil sleeping; no bright colors or over accumulation of knick-knacks will create unnecessary energy that may disrupt your sleep patterns. Vacationing takes up a lot of energy, we get that you need your rest!

Beyond our homes for rent in Orleans, you will find extra entertaining and dining areas, including a barbecue grill to be used for grilling up the catch of the day. You are on an island after all, and fishing is one of our favorite pastimes!

Keeping Busy in Orleans

If you manage to drag yourself away from your Orleans vacation rental, you will find that the town of Orleans has plenty to keep you busy. The bike trail runs right through the town.  Home to a stretch of one of the Cape’s most popular beaches, Nauset Beach, the French Cable Museum, and the Jonathan Young Windmill, this picturesque town is a top Cape Cod tourist destination. Tasty local favorites like the Hot Chocolate Sparrow, Rock Harbor Grill, Mahoney’s and Land Ho and will keep your mouth watering, and prime shopping spots will help rid your wallet of those pesky green pieces of paper!

Nauset Beach

Popular Nauset Beach, not to be confused with Nauset Light Beach of the National Seashore, is a lengthy 10-mile expanse starting in Orleans and stretching all the way to Chatham. Surfing is permitted in the non-protected beach areas from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. It is also popular with swimmers and boogie boarders. The beach is also available for off-road vehicles with the proper permit. Beautiful sunrises, excellent bass and blues fishing, surfing, sunbathing, and swimming in cool ocean waters are all great activities here.

Despite its size, the massive parking lot occasionally fills up when the sun is strong. Arrive early or in the late afternoon if you want to claim a spot. There is an attendant on duty, and there are also bike racks available if you choose to bike here.

Skaket Beach

Warm, clear waters make this beach destination ideal for casual swimming, watersports, or a restorative rest on the white sandy shore. Wade through the shallow waters once you reach them. Stay to enjoy the mesmerizing pink and orange sunset; the natural environment of Skaket Beach is as stunning as any in Cape Cod.

Skaket Beach is a prized spot for many repeat Cape Cod visitors staying in our houses for rent in Orleans. Its small size lends it a certain intimacy. Enjoy a pleasant afternoon undisturbed by commotion. Spend a moment in deep thought while watching reflections in a rock pool, or run free of cares through the reedy grasses. Stand still and let the gentle breeze brush the grass against your ankles.

Because the Skaket Beach surf and undertow are gentle at any time of day, parents can enjoy the comfort of letting their children roam about safely on their own in these waters. The refreshing calm in Skaket Beach is a more serene alternative to a busy day of kayaking, swimming or surfing elsewhere. Read throughout the afternoon or take a peaceful nap under the shade of a big umbrella.

Car parking at Skaket Beach is free at certain times of day, although extra fees for beach access vary. Walk just over 1.9 miles (3 kilometers) west from Orleans through beautiful sections of colonial architecture and amid the natural beauty of the New England landscape. Come see why many frequent Cape Cod vacationers call Skaket Beach their favorite part of the area’s shoreline.

Don’t settle for anything less than the best vacation you’ve ever had; contact New England Vacation Rentals today and take the first step towards your dream vacation. Our cozy Orleans, MA vacation rentals are waiting for you!

FAQs About Orleans Vacation Rentals

Q: We are looking for an intimate vacation for two. Does New England Vacation Rentals offer any 1-bedroom properties that we can rent?

A: Some of our favorite 1-bedroom escapes are located in the town of Orleans, offering comfort, style, and a hefty dose of romance that all lovebirds will want to experience.

Q: Is there any military history in Orleans?

A: Orleans is known as the only US site that was actually attacked by Germans during World War I, when U-boats fired on a tugboat and four barges floating in the Nauset area of the sea. Going back even further, an attack on Rock Harbor, a harbor located between Orleans and Eastham, was conducted by the British during the War of 1812, but that attack was quickly stopped by local militia.

Q: Is there decent sushi on Cape Cod?

A: Summer visitors can enjoy the freshest of sushi with a visit to Ten Yen, located at 56 Main Street A in Orleans. Also serving Japanese beers, whiskey, and hand-crafted cocktails in casual and laidback surroundings, Ten Yen is a popular date-night restaurant.

Q: Do your Orleans properties offer in home washers and dryers?

A: New England Vacation Rentals pays attention to all the details that make a vacation home welcoming, inviting, and convenient, and pretty much all of our vacation homes, including the ones in Orleans offer a full laundry room or a laundry closet with a washer and dryer tucked away behind the door.
