Most Festive Things to Do in Cape Cod This Season
It’s THAT time of year again, can you believe it? It seems as if we just washed the last dish, ate the last leftover, and threw away the last of the Christmas wrapping paper yesterday when in reality, it has been almost a year and it’s time to start the festivities anew! Fortunately, you planned ahead and have decided that Cape Cod is where you want to celebrate this year, and how could anyone blame you? Your holidays are will be postcard-perfect when you participate in these festive things to do in Cape Cod this holiday season!
Garden Club of Hyannis Holiday Showcase
Held in the Cultural Center at 307 Old Main Street in Yarmouth November 16-November 18, this festive floral display is guaranteed to get you in the mood for the season ahead. Featuring a theme of “Celebrations Around the World,” the beauty will inspire you and the boutique will allow you to bring home a few special gifts for your own celebrations!
A Charlie Brown Christmas & Celebration
One of our favorite holiday shows has been turned into a play, and The Academy Playhouse, 120 Main Street in Orleans, is featuring this special show from November 17th through December 30th. This family-centered activity also features special treats and readings from other holiday classics, with tickets only costing $20.
Brewster for the Holidays
Held the first weekend in December, this special festival is an example of everything wonderful! Starting with a tree and windmill lighting ceremony on Friday, continuing through the weekend with visits from Santa, holiday music, arts & crafts, contests, and ending with a Gala Family Party at the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History on Sunday (admission is free!), who knew so much Christmas fun could be jammed into one weekend?
Chatham Christmas Stroll
Held the weekend of December 8th, the list of festive activities you can take part in here will warm your heart. Downtown Main Street in Chatham is the hotspot for holiday excitement, with the Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony, a holiday parade, carolers, and even a breakfast with Santa! Our favorite though is all of the shops that are open for business so that you can pick out just the right Cape Cod gift for everyone on your list. Many of the shops have complimentary snacks and beverages available to strollers and we always look forward to the hot cocoa at The Candy Manor!
