Provincetown’s LGBTQ-Friendly Festival

Provincetown is known for being the most LGBTQ-friendly town not only on Cape Cod, but possibly in the nation! Beginning on the second Saturday of every August, Provincetown starts a weeklong event dedicated to celebrating LGBTQ culture through art fairs, parties, a costume ball, social events, special performances, a fabulous parade, and other incredible events. The town is adorned in rainbow flags and visitors from all walks of life take to the streets in elaborate themed costumes for this lovely cultural festival.

During this time, Provincetown’s modest year-round population of about three thousand people skyrockets as nearly ninety thousand visitors from around the world flock to the town for its annual Carnival.
