Nauset Beach, Orleans
On the lower Cape lies a wonderful stretch of sand and summer fun on the Atlantic side of Cape Cod. Nauset Beach offers one of the most popular beaches as there are great waves for boogie boarding. There is even a snack shack to pick up a burger or fried clams! This beach is great for families and people of all ages.
Red River Beach, Harwich
Harwich is a great family friendly area of the Cape, and as such, its boasts some great Nantucket Sound side beaches. One example of this is Red River Beach. This is one of the best beaches to go if you are looking for ample parking, soft sand, and gentle warm waves. Being located on Nantucket Sound, this protects the beach from the big currents and waves you’ll find on the Atlantic side, making it an excellent place for a comfortable swim on the Cape.
