On the southern tip of Cape Cod lies an interesting bit playfulness and wonder. In this area, just off the shores of Woods Hole, is a location where seals like to gather and play. The sight is truly majestic and you can be a part of it through the Buzzard Bay Coalition’s tour of the Cape Cod Seal and Seabirds Watch. Jump out on the waters of Cape Cod and experience this bit of nature’s wonder through seal watching in Cape Cod!
The Boat Tour
The Buzzard Bay Coalition hosts this boat tour that allows visitors to watch wintering seals and seabirds. This seal watching Cape Cod tour begins at the Woods Hole Community Hall where you will get a little educational background on the event. Tour guides will teach guests about the harbor seals and their life in Buzzards Bay and beyond. You will then board a heated boat to search for these playful animals out on the water. The tour lasts about one hour and will sure to be a highlight of your trip.

The Coalition will host Seal and Seabird Watches in Woods Hole throughout the winter on the following dates: Sunday, Dec. 11 from 12-1:30pm; Saturday, Jan. 7 from 10-11:30am; Saturday, Jan. 21 from 11am-12:30pm; Saturday, Feb. 4 from 9-10:30am; and Sunday, Feb. 19 from 10-11:30am. The cost to non-coalition members is $30, or $15 for children under 12. If you are a member of the coalition, tickets are reduced to $20 per person.
