Held annually in the village of Woods Hole and the nearby town of Falmouth from late July through early August, the Woods Hole Film Festival is Cape Cod’s oldest film festival. Find out more about the Woods Hole Film Festival below!

Cape Cod’s Longest-Running Film Festival

Each year, the Woods Hole Film Festival takes place from the last Saturday of July through the first Saturday of August. During the weeklong event, members of the filmmaking industry and the public alike are invited to see showings of curated movies, seminars, workshops, panels, parties, live music, and other special events related to the New England and international moviemaking scenes.

Independent filmmakers from New England and around the world submit over seven hundred films to the committee behind the Woods Hole Film Festival, which then narrows down its featured films into over one hundred films for the entertainment of the public. The festival places a particular emphasis on up-and-coming films and filmmakers from the New England region. The event also includes an all-ages Kids Day, during which children ages twelve years and under are admitted for just $5.00.

Ticket options for the Woods Hole Film Festival are diverse. From full-access passes with different perks to packages of individual movie screenings and tickets for panels and workshops, prices vary and are suitable for a wide range of budgets. Single tickets for screenings and parties range from $10.00 to $14.00, while passes range from $100.00 to $500.00.
