And of course, we don’t want to forget about the private beach that is located just a short distance from your Seaside Cottages sanctuary, inviting guests to enjoy sunrise walks, moonlit magic, and long days of sandcastle building, swimming, and frolicking in the surf. If that was all South Yarmouth had to offer it would be more than enough, but of course there is more. The 18th century Judah Baker Windmill, located at 89 River Street, offers a peek into the traditional way of grinding grain, and the Taylor-Bray Farm, 108 Bray Farm Road North in Yarmouth Port, offers farm tours and fun special events throughout the year.
Even our 1-bedroom cottages feature petite kitchens equipped with everything you need to create a meal, but we sincerely hope you still take some time to explore the culinary landscape of not just Yarmouth, but of the entirety of Cape Cod if you can manage it. If you stick close to Yarmouth, however we highly recommend the Keltic Kitchen, 415 MA-28 in West Yarmouth, serving authentic Irish breakfasts and lunches seven days a week. And yes, we get that it is a little strange recommending Irish food on Cape Cod, but trust us, once you taste their Keltic Fry Bowl, you will understand. Besides, we are going to encourage you to go authentic Cape Cod for dinner by suggesting one of the Cape’s oldest restaurants, Skipper Chowder House, located at 152 S Shore Drive in South Yarmouth. This wonderful restaurant has been serving “chowdah” and other locally sourced seafood dishes since 1936 and we at New England Vacation Rentals feel you can’t consider that you have experienced the best of Cape Cod until you experience this restaurant offering views of Nantucket Sound.
