At the start of your vacation, travel day can be as exciting as the trip that you have anticipated for so long, but after many, many, many miles, the excitement may morph into exhaustion, boredom, and a little bit of pain. (Airplane seats are so cramped!) And then, you step onto the front porch of your Cape Cod escape, open the door, and forget that anything negative has occurred thanks to the realization that with your first steps inside, your best vacation ever is about to begin. Step over the threshold and walk into spaces that will be the most comfortable part of your vacation experience, staring at everything at once, and getting more excited as the secrets of your retreat are all revealed. And as we mentioned earlier, while it may be too warm in the daytime hours to enjoy a roaring fire, when the sun sets and ocean breezes turn cool, the fire you will enjoy will set a mood that will be happy, romantic, or just plain fun. A picnic dinner enjoyed by firelight, a movie night made more cheerful by the crackle of the logs burning, or quiet moments spent sipping, chatting, and feeling your bones melting into the sofa in all the best of ways are just some ways the fireplace in the living room will enhance your vacation experience.
There is so much more to explore in the spaces you will call home during your escape to the Cape, but let’s take a few minutes to step outside into the backyard oasis and examine all that awaits you out there.
