The Heart of the Home

The center of any home is, and always will be, the kitchen. Here is where stories are told, tears are dried, and adventures are planned, and the kitchens in our 3-bedroom vacation homes are no different. For the duration of your stay, the fully equipped kitchen will be the heart of the home. And whether you have plans to create gourmet meals or are just planning to use the refrigerator to store your beer and leftovers, you’ll still need to make an expedition to the local market! Cape Cod Beer at 1336 Phinneys Lane in Hyannis is a wonderful place to buy your new favorite craft beers. We enjoy the Cape Cod Beach Blonde, but the beer tastings offered here will allow you to choose your own favorite. For groceries, go healthy and sample the food offerings you can find at the Organic Market, located at 640 Main Street in Dennis Port; their local grown and raised organic foods add a distinctive flavor to any meal.

Dining Out on the Cape

The best vacations involve the best meals prepared and served by others, and these restaurants may just be the highlight of your trip! The Breakfast Room at 675 Main St, West Dennis is known throughout the area for its hearty and delicious steak breakfast, while Grumpy’s at 1408 Main St, East Dennis, serves the simple meals your grandmother used to make; you’re in New England now, be sure to try the chowder! For a special meal you won’t find anywhere else.  We can’t choose our favorite dish, because all their dishes are stupendous!

Families Love Cape Cod

Cape Cod is a place with many personalities: a sophisticated one that enjoys wine bars and museum explorations, a casual laidback one that feels the only good day is one spent at the beach, and a family friendly one with activities that are fun for all members of the family, from the youngest to the oldest. Big families enjoy the only water park on the Cape, Water Wizz, located at 3031 Cranberry Highway in East Wareham. Adventurous types may feel a little nervous when faced with the 61-foot-high Devil’s Peak, the shorter members of your clan will never want to leave Captain Kid’s Island, and everyone will have a blast on the Herring Run River. Cold fall and winter temperatures on Cape Cod means this type of water fun can only be had in the summer, so plan accordingly!
