With so much accessible coastline, Cape Cod is a popular destination for beach-lovers. But, it can be hard to choose which beach to visit – especially if you’re here for only a limited time!  Fortunately, New England Vacation Rentals is here to help! Read below to see our list of the top beaches Cape Cod has to offer – and what you can do nearby each!

Marconi Beach

If you’re staying in Wellfleet, this beach should definitely be on your to-do list! It’s one of the larger beaches in the area, is equipped with showers and restrooms, and is kept clean year-round as well! One way that Marconi Beach stands out is its large waves and dunes. These make it popular for surfing and long walks on the beach. Note that there is a bit of a walk from the parking to the beach, and it requires traversing stairs – so get ready for a bit of a hike if you come to Marconi Beach!

Corporation Beach

Corporation Beach lies in Dennis, and is popular with families for a few reasons. Here you’ll find a play area and swing set for the kids, as well as a beautiful tidal pool – a great spot for children to get their feet wet in relative safety. The water here is calm and warm compared to other beaches, making it great for wading and swimming at high tide. The beach is also wheel-chair accessible!

Veteran’s Beach

On Ocean Street in Hyannis, you’ll find Veteran’s Beach. It’s a fine spot for both active and passive beach-lovers, the latter enjoying watching the boats float in and out of Hyannis Harbor, while the former can party it up with barbecue grills, volley ball, and a kid-friendly playground. The snack bar here makes it even easier to spend an entire afternoon here!

Another feature of Veteran’s Beach are its memorials. The John F. Kennedy Memorial and Korean War Memorial here are shrines to the service paid by some of our most patriotic of citizens. This beach too is wheel chair accessible, so everyone can join in on the fun!

Breakwater Beach

If you’re in Brewster, then one of the most popular beaches in the area is waiting for you just off of Breakwater Road. Bordered by gentle dunes, the beach can look dramatically different depending on the time of day. The warm water makes a great swim at high tides; at low tides, the flats extend out almost a mile, making for a great place for kids to look for shells and crabs.

Boardwalk Beach

The boardwalk that gives the beach its name is its chief attraction, providing a great scenic area. The marshes nearby also add variety to the wildlife, making this beach a favorite among birdwatchers and others. This beach varies dramatically with the seasons, and is even popular on mild winter days.

Harding Beach

Just a short drive from Route 28, Harding Beach is one of the most gorgeous beaches on the Cape. Offering plenty of paved parking, bathrooms, and an amazing one mile walk to the Stage Harbor entrance, it’s truly one of the top beaches you can visit – and one that you simply can’t miss! It’s also a perfect place to walk your dogs during the off-season, so don’t forget to bring your furry best friend!
