In the spring of 2013, Pizza Barbone installed their very own rooftop garden, helping start the urban rooftop farming movement in the Cape Cod area. 18,000 pounds of organic soil was lifted by crane to fill eight raised beds and 30 self-watering containers made by the owner’s own hands. Here, organic vegetables such as tomatoes, beets, carrots, onions, peppers, potatoes, parsley, fresh herbs, and more are grown to be used for all of the fresh-made Neapolitan pizzas baked to perfection in the wood-fire ovens. An annex garden has even been installed at the owner’s house to provide even more fresh produce! Vegetable scraps from the restaurant are then used as compost to feed right back into the soil.

Pizza Barbone travels straight to the customer with its wood-fired pizza oven to make their specialty-crafted pizzas right there. For $700, 7% tax, and 15% gratuity you can have a meal to feed 25 people or less, with two staff members on hand, and includes all the costs of your the delicious pizza.
