What’s In-Store for You with Cap’n Kids Fishing Adventures

Sailing out of Saquatucket Harbor in Harwich Port, this kid-friendly Cape Cod, family-owned and operated fishing charter service designs their routes so that they last half as long as a regular charter fishing trip—about two hours as opposed to four. It’s a great way to see the sights, learn more about the area, and have fun while you’re doing it!

On the boat, you and your kids can use traps for crabs and lobsters, as well as fishing rods and reels. With Cap’n Kids Fishing Adventures, your kids can reel in tautog, scup, sea bass, spider crabs, lobster, and summer flounder, or fluke, while learning more about the marine life in the area.

All equipment and bait are provided. It’s recommended that you and your family bring your sunglasses, sunscreen, rubber-soled shoes, a sweatshirt or light jacket, and a camera. Snacks and beverages are available for a small fee, though you’re allowed to bring your own food and drinks if you want to save money.

Cap’n Kids Fishing Adventures operates from mid-June through Labor Day daily, with trips departing periodically throughout the day. Reservations are highly recommended, and can be made online or by phone at least 24 hours before your fishing trip; cancellations must also be made 24 hours in advance. At least one adult will need to be present in each party. Private charters are also available for groups of six or more people. Finally, as with most fishing charters, trips may be adjusted or cancelled if unforeseen conditions arise.
